What if –
The universe is one big fractal?
Cells are fractals. Proteins are fractals. Plants are fractals. Galaxies are fractals. Brains (human) are fractals.
What if we are living in a big fractal and trying to fit our straight lines and circles into it? Doesn’t that mean we are trying to fit a circle into a square hole?
What are we up to, anyway?
We are little spirits running around in meat suits trying to make sense of things that are way beyond our understanding. The more we push our finite understanding onto the universe, the less we really understand ANYTHING!
I had an appointment with a chiropractor today. During our conversation, I mentioned how much I had to learn to write a book about insulin resistance (currently out of print). He jerked his head around and said that I had to learn a LOT.
I agreed.
It was overwhelming now that I look back at it. But I only took one study at a time and digested it. There were over 600 studies on Insulin, Glucose, Pancreas function, C-Peptides, nutrition, biochemistry, and a lot more stuff. Many studies I had to discard because of funding issues, tainted test groups or biased conclusions. But I still had to read and digest them. I had to figure out what was tainted and wasn’t. I had to learn medical terminology, enzymatic processes, digestive processes, hormone processes, nerve conduction, anatomy, electromagnetic systems processing in the body, and so much more.
I am NOT a medical doctor or nurse. I had no previous experience with healthcare except as a patient.
Fractals?
This brings me back to my concept of fractals as an explanation for our universe. Every rabbit hole we go down leads to another hole, or another path.
Every course of study leads to a specialization – and another, and another. We can become experts in the smallest of things, putting our focus into the infinitesimal, ignoring the greater beauty around us. Just like a fractal.
Plants have mastered both the Fibonacci sequence and fractal geometry. Are we less intelligent than plants? Probably. At least in this area. In that, I side with the Native Americans. Their spirituality is much more in touch with universal energies.
Yes, I know. I’ve gone off the deep end again. If you can follow this line of thought, please comment. I sometimes wonder if I’m speaking into a void.
And follow me over on Patreon. I talk more about this kind of thing on that platform.
