I’ve been keeping busy and avoiding Facebook as much as possible. My mental health is better for it. I’m tired of the politics. I voted by Absentee Ballot around the middle of October. I did research on the “independent” candidates and made as informed a choice as I could.
I’ve been working on this for quite a while. I ended up hanging it from clips on a curtain rod, instead of putting up another curtain rod and threading it through an attached sleeve. Actually, I can hang it vertical or horizontal, since there are sleeves on 2 sides.
I stopped working on it for a while because my sewing machine was giving me fits. It turned out that it was operator error – the needle was in backwards!
I used nylon thread to bind it, and my corners aren’t any better than my other piecing, but I don’t care. I’m proud of it. It’s my first attempt at the “log cabin” style piecing.
I’ve been expanding a previously published book, making it more of what I want it to be.
I accepted a challenge from a local writing group and submitted it.
AND, I took the step of submitting 10 pages of my fiction book to a literary agency.
I’m finding that my food planning is pretty decent. I did a tweak on my tracking spreadsheet to compute the percentages of the macros. It showed that while my caloric intake may exceed my targets, most of the time I’m meeting my percentages. Occasionally, they go off track, and I just go back to my plan the next day.
Whatever I’m doing seems to be working. My Fasting Blood Sugar levels are steady. Weight loss is steady but slow.
It’s easy to cook ahead and portion-plan my meals. As long as I have food ready to eat, I don’t have any trouble sticking to it.
I’ll make my next video on the 2nd of November, which is my plan – make a video and stills each month on the same date.
